Integrative Health and Wellness Outreach Team
Integrative health is a holistic approach to health and well-being that is centered on the whole person – mind, body and spirit. The University of Illinois utilizes the eight dimensions of wellness to help conceptualize this, with these dimensions: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual.
The goal of the Integrative Health & Wellness team is to partner with and empower all students to embrace a holistic approach to wellness. This is achieved through engagement and connection with students via outreach events and collaborative work with existing campus partners. Events can be in the form of tabling, workshops, presentations, and social media campaigns. They are focused on empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being through activities that are centered on creating a space for wellness that aligns with each person’s individuality.
