Ways to Make an Appointment
There are three ways students can make an appointment with the Counseling Center. (If you're a faculty/staff member looking for mental health assistance, please contact Faculty/Staff Assistance and Well-Being Services.)
If you need to be seen immediately, you can always come to the Counseling Center during business hours without an appointment. If possible, we request you call 217-333-3704 to let us know you're on your way. If you have an immediate need after business hours, please call the Rosecrance Crisis Line at 217-359-4141.
If you're trying to schedule online and find that all appointments are full, please call the Counseling Center instead. Not all available appointments are listed online, and we can help you determine the best option.
Call the Counseling Center for a same-day appointment.
Please call us at 217-333-3704 during business hours.
Schedule an in-person appointment through our online portal.
Before scheduling an online appointment, please answer the following pre-screening questions.
- Have you had any individual or group sessions at the Counseling Center in the last six months?
- Are you enrolled in a completely online academic program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign?
- Are you currently located outside of Champaign/Urbana?
- Are you seeking couples counseling services?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, please call the Counseling Center at 217-333-3704 to make an appointment rather than attempting to schedule online.
If you answered NO to all these questions, online scheduling is a good option for you and you can select continue below. If there are no online appointments available when you check, you can call the Counseling Center at 217-333-3704 to schedule.
