2025 Suicide Prevention Month
Suicide is one of the most common causes of death for college students. According to the Journal of Affective Disorders, nationally, 1,100 students die by suicide each year and 12% of students consider suicide during their time in college.
This year the Counseling Center, along with our partners across campus, are trying to Change the Narrative on suicide. We want all students to know that:
- You’re not alone.
- Help is available.
- There are many resources for managing feelings and getting help for intrusive thoughts.
